Effective 2026 · Plain language

Privacy, in plain words.

We treat your information the way we want our own families’ information treated. This page explains what that means in practice.

What we collect

When you sign up, we ask for your name and email. When you use the product — schedule a meal, post an update, send a message — we store that activity so the right people in your circle can see it.

We don’t sell your information. We don’t serve advertising against it. We don’t use it to train external AI models.

Who can see what

Inside a care circle, the patient (or their authorized representative) decides what gets shared and with whom. Care team members can only see the circles they’ve been invited into. Engineers at CareDocks have no production access without an explicit support ticket from you.

Where it lives

Your data is stored encrypted on Google Cloud (region: europe-west1 for the EU; us-central1 for North America). Backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days. We don’t replicate to any third party.

Your rights

  • You can export a copy of your circle’s data at any time.
  • You can delete your account, which deletes your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may remain.
  • You can email privacy@caredocks.com and we’ll answer within five business days.

If something changes

We’ll email everyone with an account before any policy change that meaningfully affects your privacy. We won’t bury changes in legal boilerplate — you’ll see them in the same plain language.

This page is a working draft as we ramp up. The legal long-form is coming alongside our SOC 2 audit. For anything urgent, email privacy@caredocks.com directly.
